Σωτήρης Βανδώρος

Ο Σωτήρης Βανδώρος είναι Senior Lecturer (Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής) στα οικονομικά της υγείας στο King’s College London και Adjunct Associate Professor στο Harvard University.

Είναι κάτοχος διδακτορικού από το LSE, όπου μετέπειτα εργάστηκε ως research fellow.

Στα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα συμπεριλαμβάνονται τα οικονομικά της υγείας και η συμπεριφορική επιστήμη. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, η έρευνά του επικεντρώνεται στον ανταγωνισμό, την τιμολόγηση και την ρύθμιση της αγοράς φαρμάκων και την επίδραση των οικονομικών συνθηκών και της αβεβαιότητας πάνω στην υγεία και τις συμπεριφορές υγείας.

Οι έρευνές του δημοσιεύονται σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των Risk Analysis, Health Affairs, Social Science & Medicine, American Journal of Public Health, Experimental Economics, Health Economics κλπ.

Έχει διεξάγει έρευνα, μεταξύ άλλων, για τον Παγκόσμιο Οργανισμό Υγείας, το NHS, το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο, την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή κλπ.

Ο Δρ Βανδώρος έχει διδάξει στα Harvard University, King’s College London, LSE, Brunel University, Sorbonne-Cité και Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Sotiris is Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Health Economics at King’s College London, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Harvard University.

He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics, where he has also previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Officer and a Research Fellow.

His fields of interest include health economics and behavioural science. In particular, his research focuses on regulation and competition in pharmaceutical markets and on the impact of economic conditions, shocks and uncertainty on health and health-related behaviours.

His research has been published in various journals, including Risk Analysis, Health Affairs, Social Science & Medicine, American Journal of Public Health, Experimental Economics, Health Economics etc.

Sotiris has carried out research for national and international organisations and governments, including the WHO, the NHS, the European Commission and the European Parliament.

He has taught at Harvard University, King’s College London, LSE, Sorbonne-Cité and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
